CVS Trip - 12/4/11 - Spent $.04 and saved $200.51 - Similac, Pedialyte, Huggies + Snacks!

OOP: $.04
(I think this is one of my lowest OOP ever!)
Retail value: $200.55

I spent $39.90 in ECB and gift cards and in return got $41.00 in ECB and gift cards back.

The only thing I spent gift card money on was Similac which I wasn't planning on getting but the great manager at my store gave me TWO 30% Friends and Family shopping passes which made each Similac UNDER $4.00. Cant pass that up! So I used a GC on that but everything else I spent ECB on. Trying to convert them all to GC before they expire...

This is what I bought.
1 Huggies
2 Similac
6 Pedialyte
2 Trash Bags (CVS Generic)
6 American Greetings
39 Twix
14 Cheez It Party Mix
6 Chex Mix
2 Candy Canes

CVS Trip - 11/27/11 - Spent $.99 and saved $605.68! Tide, Pantene, Mars Candy Bars + More!

This "trip" actually took the entire week! I went shopping several times throughout the week to get all my items. I lost track of how many transactions I did - a lot - so I can't break it down.

Out Of Pocket: $.99
Retail Value: $606.67

Spent $153.75 in gift cards and ECB and earned back $136.00 in gift cards and ECB.

In all I bought:
16 Pantene
10 Tide
2 Oral-B Vitality
6 Dawn
3 Dr. Pepper
3 Doritos
195 Mars Bars
3 Hershey Bars
12 Oral-B Battery Toothbrushes

CVS "Black Friday" - Spent $.56 and saved $307.91. Had $128.73 ECB leftover!

I went to two stores and completed 8 transactions.

Entire haul total:

Out Of Pocket: $.56

Spent $71.94 in gift cards & ECB

Saved $307.91

ECB leftover $128.73!

It was fun - ran into A LOT of other Spring couponers! On my main CVS card I did one huge transaction since I had a lot of gift cards to use. That's the receipt shown in this picture - it was so long!! The darker photo is of my midnight trip and the lighter picture is the trip I did at my main CVS store at 7AM on Thanksgiving day.

I'm a slacker.

I haven't posted my last 3 CVS trips. Stayed tuned - they'll be up shortly!

HEB Trip - 11/12/11 - Breakfast and Pie with 57% savings! Similac, Pyrex, Jimmy Dean + more!

I rarely shop at HEB so this might actually be my first time sharing a trip! Thanks to Lauren at Fort Hood Savers for coming to AFC and sharing these great deals! If you shop at HEB frequently I highly recommend following the Fort Hood Savers blog - she posts so many great HEB deals!

Most of these coupons were found in-store at HEB and are usually hanging right by the products - so no clipping or printing coupons!

This trip was a bit involved so I'm going to post the coupons used underneath the individual products to avoid confusion. Also, you'll notice sometimes the coupon was for more than the amount - that's because the cashier manually entered the coupon for the value on the HEB coupon instead of the actual price of the product.

Breakfast Deal

2 DeWafellbakkers Frozen Pancakes @ $2.58 each
2 HEB Premium Orange Juice @ $2.50 each
- $2.50 Free HEB OJ wyb DeWafellbakkers Frozen Pancakes x 2
2 Jimmy Dean Sausage Crumbles @ $2.94 each
- $2.00 off Jimmy Dean wyb OJ MQ x 2

So, for this breakfast deal (pancakes, sausage and OJ!) the total was $7.04 total (or $3.52 per breakfast!) for items retailing $16.04 which is a 56% savings!

Pie Deal

Pyrex Easy Grab 9.5in Pie Pan (glass) @ $5.97
- $2.00 Pyrex HEB Coupon
- $.60 HEB 10% off housewares coupon
Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling @ $2.25
- $3.53 free Lucky Leaf filling wyb Pyrex
Betty Crocker Pie Crust @ $1.89
- $1.89 free Pie Crust wyb Pyrex
Sweetened Condensed Milk @ $1.42
- $2.39 free condensed milk wyb Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling
HEB Light Whipped Topping @ $1.42
- $1.42 free whipped topping wyb Pyrex

For this glass pie pan and baking items the total cost was only $1.12. The original cost of the items was $12.95 which is a 91% savings!

I also bought a few other items:
2 HEB Brand Soda @ $2.25 each
Similac Formula 1.45 lb @ $22.88
- $5.00 Similac MQ
- $5.00 Formula Check

Total paid for this shopping trip was $26.19. Total saved was 35.41 which is a 57% savings!

CVS Trip - 10/22/11 - Paid $.87 for Dr. Pepper, Glade, Starbursts + more!

This was a pretty fun week at CVS! They are having a great promotion through the end of the year where you spend $30.00 in qualifying products you receive a $10.00 gift card but I didn't take advantage of that this week as none of the products were items we needed.

Anyways, here is tonight's trip.
Out of Pocket - $.87
Sale price - $79.34
Retail price - $150.41

Started the trip with $13.00 ECB (I actually had $48 but only used $13 for this trip)

Transaction 1

4 Starbursts candy @ $.50 each
3 Dr Pepper 12 pks @ $11.00 total

So I was paid to shop at CVS tonight! Spent a total of $13 ECB but earned back $20.00 and paid only $.87 for all of it.

Walgreens paid me $10 to buy Cottonelle Toilet Paper and Depends

I have to start by saying I was very hesitant to share these trips. It's the first time I have ever purchased something I have absolutely no intention of using. I'm not proud but I have been waiting for a good "money maker" to get me back into the Walgreens game and it just so happened to be Depends. There you have it.

For those interested I DO plan to donate all of these so if anyone in the Spring area knows of a senior center or non profit organization for disabled teens/adults or seniors please let me know! I want them to go to a good place where they'll be put to good use. I understand Depends are VERY costly.

All the products are not shown in the photos.

Transaction 1
4 Depends Kits @ $2.00 each
- $2/1 MQ x 2
- $2/2 MQ
Total = $2.00. Earned $4.00 Register Reward.

Inside of each of these kits is a $3.00 coupon good on any Depends. These are the coupons used for each subsequent transaction.

Transaction 2
4 Depends Kits @ $2.49 each (this store did not have them on sale)
- $3/1 MQ x 4 (adjusted down)
Total = $0.00. Earned $4.00 Register Reward.

Transaction 3
2 Cottonelle Toilet Paper @ $5.00 each
- $4 Register Rewards (from T1 and T2)
- $2 Walgreens Cottonelle Q
Total = $0.00. Earned $3 Register Reward

I did this deal a total of 4 times. Each subsequent transaction all had $0.00 out of pocket and I ended up with $3 in Register Rewards at the end of each. So in total I earned $12 Register Rewards - $2.00 I spent in Transaction 1 = $10.00 money maker.

I love getting paid to shop.

Axe Hair Gel and $1.00 coupon hanging from my door!

Nice, random surprise hanging from my door when I got home! 2 samples of Axe hairgel and a $1.00 off coupon! The bag said Redplum, and Redplum is delivered by the USPS on Tuesday, so I guess the mailman put it there? If he did that at all the houses I bet he had a very long day...

(Sorry the picture is sideways!)

Food Town - 16 Toilet Paper Rolls for $2.20!

I love Food Town. I view their ad online and price match their great sales prices at Walmart. This week they had Marcal small steps toilet paper 4 packs for only $.55. This is a great price at only $.14/roll! It's also made of 100% recycled paper.

I normally stock up at $3.50 for a 12 pack so getting 16 rolls for only $2.20 is a great price!

(Walmart doesn't carry Marcal so my friend Margaret was nice enough to pick up this from Food Town since there is one by her house!)

Walmart Trip - 9/18/11 - Saved $121.36 or 46% on regular grocery bill!

Every 2 weeks I do my regular grocery shopping at Walmart. I don't share those trips because I buy so many items and breaking down the cost, price matches, coupons and taking pictures of it all would just take too much time. People only see the CVS & Walgreens trips and think that I'm not actually saving money on everyday grocery shopping when in fact I am!

This trip I purchased 125 items.
Retail cost of items at Walmart: $264.29
Cost of items after price matching: $217.83
Total after coupons = $142.93
Savings of 46%. On a regular grocery bill this is GREAT!

Since I purchased 125 items I can't list everything. I snapped a couple of photos while putting everything away.

Maybe as I become more organized I can share Walmart trips. For now they are just too large to breakdown!

Rare Kroger Trip - Gerber Graduates & Ozarka Water - $8.10

I don't like Kroger. But we use this Ozarka water to mix baby formula. And it's never too early to start stocking up on expensive baby foods. So there you have it - apparently these deals were good enough to get me in the door! Normally I would just price match at Walmart but I knew with this deal a $4.00 OYNO (on your next order) Catalina coupon would print at the register for purchasing the Gerber items. So in I went. And I may even go back.

Transaction 1
7 Gerber Graduates Lil'Entrees @ $1.98 each
3 Gerber Lil'Crunchies Snacks @ $1.78 each
Total = $19.20

Coupons/Discounts used:
- $5.00 Mega Event Savings
- $1.00 Gerber Lil'Entrees MQ x 7
- $1.00 Gerber Snacks MQ

Total = $6.10. Earned $4.00 OYNO Catalina.

Transaction 2

Coupons/Discounts used:
- $5.00 Mega Event Savings
- $4.00 OYNO Catalina (T1)

Total = $1.90

Paid $8.10 for $30.10 worth of items. 73% savings. Not the best but I'm so happy with the Gerber purchases! Considering the $4 OYNO coupon they come out to around $.21 each!

Walgreens Trip - 09/17/2011 - Revlon and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream

Had an interesting Walgreens trip last night. I've been shying away from their Register Rewards program since I can't shop Sunday mornings and have been taking advantage of their sales Saturday nights when they active sales for the next week.

This would explain how I end up with 11 Revlon Top Speed nail polishes. Sometimes when they activate sales for the next week and an item is already on sale the current week the 2 sales overlap and you can "double dip" into both sales. The week of 9/11-9/17 Revlon Top Speed nail polish was 40%. The week of 9/18-9/24 it is on sale BOGO 50%. Combine both and you get 40% off AND BOGO 50%!

Bought 11 Revlon Top Speed nail polish @ $3.59 each (40% off) = $39.49
Used $2/1 Walgreens Revlon coupon - $22.00 (takes $2 off each you buy) = $17.49
BOGO 50% takes $.80 off of 5 polishes - $4.00 = $13.49
Used $1/1 Revlon Cosmetic MQ - $11.00 = $2.49 for 11 Revlon nail polish! That comes to around $.23 each!

Shelby was particularly happy with this haul! The Beauty Advisor at Walgreens that checked me out also gave me a free gift for purchasing Revlon! It must have been one of their SaturDate promotions. So I got a FREE John Frieda Full Repair. WHOO HOO!

The Ben & Jerry's was a great deal as well. The pints are on sale for $2.99 this week (9/18-9/24). There is a Walgreens coupon that came in the paper for $2/2 and I traded for MQ for $1/1.

Bought 14 B&J pints @ $2.99 each = $41.86
Used $2/2 Walgreens coupon (takes $2 off every 2 you buy) - $14.00 = $27.86
Used $1/1 B&J MQ - $14.00 = $13.86 for 14 pints of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream! Makes each pint only $.99.

The entire family was happy with this haul!

Spent a bit more than usual but for the B&J it was definitely worth it!

Huge CVS haul! Paid $4.22 for items retailing $373.27!

4 stores. 17 transactions.

Out of Pocket cost: $4.22
Sale price of all items: $214.60
Retail price of all items: $373.27
Total savings is 98%! (off sale price)

Started with only $5.99 in ECB. Ended with $14 in ECB. The 4 boxes of Cocoa Krispies also have Cars 2 codes on them. You can submit 4 codes online and Kellogg's will mail you a $5.00 gas card! So although I spent $4.22 I'll earn $5.00 back in a gas card.

I'm posting the trip break down by each CVS card. It would just be too confusing to post the actual transactions in the order they were completed since it was kind of all over the place.

Everything is currently on sale this week (9/11-9/17) except for the Kellogg's cereal and Purex. The sale on those ended 9/10. But you could easily substitute other items for these since they didn't produce any ECB.
